Agriculture Uses   Reduce Chemical Usage

    Soil always takes on the characteristics of the materials applied upon it, the continued use of imperfect irrigation water can have a negative and degradating effect on agronomic conditions. The Harmon SO2 Generator can solve this problem.

Using a Harmon SO2 Generator, sulfur can be oxidized to form sulfur dioxide which can then be captured and introduced into the irrigation water to form a sulfurous acid solution (H2SO3) which can then be used to acidify the water being used. Treatment of irrigation water with SO2 effectively reduces the overall alkalinity (carbonates/bicarbonates) while simultaneously improving water quality.

Amending and using this water with an adjusted pH range that is similar to rain (6.5 to 6.8), it can now be used without causing the problems that normally occur if left untreated (i.e. sodium accumulation; akalinity; uneven water penetration; water waste; elimination of algae; pathogen reduction; etc.)  Depending upon the type of crop being grown, the Harmon SO2 Generator can and has been shown to effectively to produce conditions favorable needed in high quality crop production.

    The implementation of sulfur dioxide into the irrigation water was the solution for not only Darrell's problems but many other farmers.   The Harmon SO2 Generator is effective for the agriculture industry for many types of crops, treating irrigation water and soil at the same time. The Harmon Generator can be adjusted to control the pH level of water so that, crops such as Blueberries and Cranberries which prefer a low pH can benefit greatly. Other crops may not require as low of a pH level so the unit can be adjusted to treat the water to the level they require.
